My dream catcher gives me nightmares?):?

I realized when i put it in my room i started getting nightmares...i took it out for a few nights and had a couple wacky dreams..but was fine.. My step mom got it at a graarage sale..When i touch it and feel it in my hands i feel the energy and the vibrations going through me..and i sense alot of energy? Help? Should i get rid of it? or is it just a coincidence?
